Tomorrow, May 1st, is the start of Get Caught Reading Month. Get Caught Reading is a nationwide, year-round campaign to promote reading for all ages. It was first established in 1999 by the Association of American Publishers and is now managed by Every Child a Reader, which creates and supports programs intended to make the enjoyment of children’s literature part of daily life. Get Caught Reading provides teachers and librarians with posters of authors, media figures, and book characters “caught reading” a favorite book. Wondering how to celebrate? Just take a book out whenever you have free time and get lost in your favorite story!
