Sharing Heart On World Heart Day

World Heart Day and Sharing Heart are great reminders to raise awareness, inspire action, and celebrate heart health.

Celebrated annually on September 29, World Heart Day was established by the World Heart Federation in collaboration with the World Health Organization "with the aim of increasing awareness of cardiovascular diseases and how to control them to negate their global impact."

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the most common cause of death globally.

"Up to 80% of premature CVD deaths are preventable through affordable access to care, early screening, and more opportunities to make healthy choices in nutrition and stay active. That’s why on World Heart Day, we unite across six continents to raise awareness, inspire action, and celebrate heart health." —World Heart Federation

In Karen Hood DelRaso's book Sharing Heart, you embark on a journey of love and giving. Through her photography and personal story, she urges you to keep an open heart.

"It begins with one person, one heart, and a desire to share the love." —Karen Hood DelRaso
