Saul Miller Inducted Into BC Sports Hall of Fame
Induction into the BC Sports Hall of Fame is the highest sporting honor in British Columbia, Canada, "celebrating the extraordinary individuals and moments that make up the fabric of B.C.’s diverse sport history. Since 1966, the BC Sports Hall of Fame has inducted 452 individuals and 69 teams to its Hall of Champions, ensuring their legacies will continue to inspire future generations."
Dr. Saul L. Miller, author of Cycle Psyched, was inducted into the class of 2025. His "contributions to sports psychology have had a profound impact on athletes at all levels. With over 40 years of work with national and professional teams across various sports, Dr. Miller has been instrumental in helping athletes unlock their full potential. Consulting with teams from the NHL, MLB, NBA, and international Olympic athletes, his work has been credited with advancing the field of sports psychology in Canada and globally. His books, seminars, and mentorship have left a lasting legacy in sports culture."
Dr. Saul L. Miller is one of North America’s leading sport and performance psychologists. He is the author of ten books including: Performing Under Pressure, Why Teams Win, Hockey Tough: A Winning Mental Game, Winning Golf: the Mental Game, and Sport Psychology for Cyclists. Dr. Miller consults with sport, corporations, and health organizations across North America and Europe. He has worked with the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Rams, Clippers and Kings, Seattle Mariners, Florida Panthers, Vancouver Canucks, Nashville Predators, plus numerous European pro teams, PGA Tour golfers, and Olympians and national athletes from the U.S., Canada, Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Italy in over 30 different sports. Dr. Miller has been consulting with elite cyclists from Canada and the U.S. for over four decades. A graduate of McGill University and the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London (Ph.D. Clinical Psychology), his work reflects his study of Eastern disciplines, Western psychological thinking, and over 40 years of front-line experience consulting with the world’s top performers.
His book, Cycle Psyched: Pro Wisdom and the Mental Training to Excel, is now displayed in the BC Sports Hall of Fame museum where you can "immerse yourself in the stories, legends, and milestones that have shaped the province's sports history."
