A Tribute and Giving Back

Juju and the Magical Shorts, was written in honor of co-author Julian Fakhreddine's grandmother, the original magic maker. It’s a story about love, loss, and the invisible threads that keep us connected to those we love.

Julian Fakhreddine, age 9, wrote Juju and the Magical Shorts with his mom, Sofia Briley, to share a story full of imagination, love, and family. He believes kids can do anything they dream of, even write books! This story was inspired by his special bond with his grandma and is his way of keeping their memories close. Julian hopes it helps kids everywhere feel that the people they love are always with them.

In addition to being a heartwarming tribute to an impactful family member, Julian and Sofia's book is giving back in meaningful ways.

"My mom was a deeply charitable person who was always looking for ways to help those in need without expecting anything in return. In her spirit of generosity, a portion of the proceeds from books purchased will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross, supporting people in need in my mom’s original home. It is a small way to honor the compassion and kindness she shared so freely and help carry her magic forward." –Sofia Briley
