International Children's Book Day

April 2nd is International Children’s Book Day! Since 1967, this day is celebrated to acknowledge children’s literature and inspire a lifelong love of reading, encouraging families, teachers, and children to participate in reading activities.

Reading books is one of the most significant activities to bring the imagination to life, educate, and inspire. From The Tales of Peter Rabbit, to Dr Seuss, to Winnie the Pooh, a child’s introduction to storytelling is timeless. Check out these 10 Reasons Why Reading is Important for Kids Development from SplashLearn, and read more about why it's important to read to your child at the Child Mind Institute.
