“We aren’t there yet, the park is much… Ugh! Is it farther or further?”

This is a tough one because both farther and further can be adverbs, adjectives, or verbs and may have multiple meanings depending on the part of speech.

However, there are rules, and we have a few tricks to help you get it right. 

Just remember, farther relates to physical distance (far), further relates to figurative distance (furthermore), if you are unsure stick to further.
